In pictures: Jayam Ravi's next 'Genie' starts with a muhurat puja

'Ponniyn Selvan' star Jayam Ravi has signed his next big film with director Bhuvanesh Arjunan. The movie is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh, and it was formerly called 'JR 32' tentatively, but now the movie makers have officially announced the title as 'Genie'. The film stars Jayam Ravi, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles.

The film, initially called 'JR 32, included a budget of Rs 100 crore by the producer, and it was said to be one of Jayam Ravi's biggest projects. The music for 'Genie' is composed by AR Rahman. The film has officially started shooting after the muhurat pujah today, and after a shoot for two days, the film's work will resume on July 20.
On the work front, Jayam Ravi is awaiting the release of his films 'Iraivan' and 'Siren'.
