After meeting the superstar at his home in the morning today, when Ilaiyaraaja said goodbye, Rajinikanth seems to have asked if there is any work, for which the

responded saying that he is going to the rehearsal of his upcoming concert in Coimbatore on June 2 to mark his birthday.

Superstar Rajinikanth also invited himself to the rehearsal and took Ilaiyaraaja in his own car. Rajinikanth listened intently to the rehearsal work and some songs related to the show in the studio. The star actor who came for the rehearsal enjoyed a few songs and was clapping for it as well before leaving.

Ilaiyaraaja has scored music for Rajinikanth starrers '16 Vayathinile', 'Mullum Malarum', 'Netri Kann', 'Nallavanukku Nallavan', 'Anbulla Rajinikanth', 'Mannan', 'Thalapathi', and 'Yajaman'. Ilaiyaraaja is expected to score music for Rajinikanth in the actor's next film 'Thalaivar 170', and the favorite duo will be joining back after 30 years.
