Isaignani Illayaraja has allegedly lodged a complaint with the Music Composer’s Association against director
Manikandan. It is stated that the background music for the film ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’ which was first composed by Illayaraja has been removed without informing him.
Director Manikanadan who is known for his Tamil movie ‘Kaaka Muttai’, is directing the next film ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’ which stars an 85-year-old farmer,
Nallandi in the lead role and actor
Vijay Sethupathi appearing in a cameo role.
The movie was supposed to release by December 2021, but it has been now delayed indefinitely.
Earlier, the background music for the film was composed by Illayaraja but the director was allegedly not impressed with it and asked for a change. Reportedly, Illayaraja refused to score new background music and Manikandan reworked it with Music Director
Santhosh Narayanan and the trailer of the movie was released with the new music. Illayaraja later lodged the complaint stating that the change was done without his permission. Illayaraja submitted the letter stating that he has not given permission to the team to go forward with another composer.
