Idli Kadai first look poster: Dhanush shares different looks as a family man and young son in his next directorial venture

Dhanush was last seen in his own directorial venture, ‘Raayan’, alongside SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, and others. The actor-director is now gearing up for the release of a series of his directorial ventures, including ‘NEEK’ and ‘Idli Kadai’. He treated his fans to an unmissable New Year gift today ( January 1, 2025) by sharing the first-look picture of ‘Idli Kadai’, featuring himself and actor Raj Kiran.

Dhanush took to his Instagram account to unveil the poster of his feel-good family drama. In the first slide, Dhanush was seen as a mature family man, and the second slide featured him as a young boy standing beside Raj Kiran. While sharing the post, he wrote, “Idli Kadai first look, stay connected to your roots."


The movie will hit theatres on April 10, 2025. It also features national award-winning actress Nithya Menen alongside the ‘3’ actor. They previously collaborated for the successful romantic comedy, ‘Thiruchitrambalam’, which earned Nithya the National Award. The movie also stars Raj Kiran, Shalini Pandey, Arun Vijay, and many others in important roles.

As Dhanush plays the lead role, the movie also features actors such as Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, and many others in key roles.

Meanwhile, Dhanush will also play the lead role in Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Kubera’ alongside Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna. His other directorial project, ‘Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK)’, a coming-of-age romantic movie, will hit theatres on February 7, 2025, starring Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, and Rabiya Khatoon in key roles.
