Aishwarya Rajesh is elated to play a role of a young mother in her upcoming film, Aarathu Sinam, which will hit the screens soon. When Arivazhagan narrated the script, I was impressed with my character. I play a cops wife for the first time, and a loving mother. In Kaakha Muttai, I played a mother of two kids, who hail from a slum. In Aarathu Sinam, my character is very homely, cute and an affectionate one.
Its very different from my previous films, she says, adding, All credit goes to cinematographer Aravinnd Singh and director Arivazhagan for giving me a new look.
Ask her about working with Arulnithi, she laughs, Its a completely new experience as he is much taller than me. I couldnt match his height while shooting few scenes and we had to use stools for it to come out well. It was funny.
Aishwarya also says that she has watched the Malayalam film, Memories. I watched the original before shooting for the film. I tried to understand and incorporate the feel of my characterisation in the original and tried to retain in the remake. I shot for only seven days for my portions and it was a great experience. Its a very small, but a pivotal role. She is the reason for the protagonist to become a drunken cop. Also, this is the first time I am working with director Arivazhagan and all I found was that he is a one of those sensible directors in the industry.
About shooting with a four-year-old kid, she says, Most of the time, we had night shoots and it was difficult for us to convince a four-year-old kid to act during those wee hours. However, I had to create a bond with that kid. Only after that we went for a take. It was an interesting experience.
