I like the Bindis the girls wear here: Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor talks about Ambikapathy and fashion in an interview to Chennai Times
I like the Bindis the girls wear here: Sonam Kapoor
Looking resplendent, draped in a traditional sari for the promotion of Raanjhanaa (Ambikapathy in Tamil) in the city, actress Sonam Kapoor turned many heads
as much with her sweet nature as with her stunning looks.
When I decided to try out a typical south Indian look, I chose to wear a Kanchipuram sari. My mother used to collect a lot of saris for me and this is from her collection.

The jewellery pieces Im wearing are also all hers. Nothing makes you feel as good as wearing your moms jewellery. And I think I matched it well with the jasmine flowers, says Sonam. Chennai Times catches up with the actress
Apart from film promotions, how often do you visit Chennai?
My aunt Sridevis home is in Chennai. Sridevi has been my biggest inspiration. I think she has influenced a lot of young girls like me. I have seen all her work and she made the south industry proud with her remarkable roles in Bollywood. So, I used to visit the city quite often. The one thing I like about Chennai girls is their bindis. I have noticed a lot of
colourful and many different types of bindis. I hardly find girls here without the bindi.

Being a fashionista yourself, any fashion suggestions for the girls here?
As Chennai is really hot, girls here should go for natural fabrics. A simple and elegant style will work out well here.
When the media thronged you, you politely requested them to not push the girls. Are you more considerate towards girls?
I am a feminist myself, and I respect other women. So, being caring towards them comes naturally to me. I believe in girl power. I like to work with girls, and thats why all my staffs are girls. I feel the positive energy when I am with girls. I have great equation with women as well. I am planning to work with more women directors in my future films.
Are you planning to take up any Tamil films?
Language is definitely not a barrier for me. I would like to work on characters that really matter to me. I would like to set a good example to other girls with my roles, and choose characters that would convey valuable messages to the ladies. I want to inspire at least one girl with my on-screen character through my every film of mine. Only that will give me satisfaction. I think I can do it.
While Dhanush dubbed in Hindi, you could have tried dubbing in Tamil for Ambikapathy
I wanted to dub myself for Ambikapathy but I had no time. I know an actress
could do justice to her role only with her voice. When I work on a Tamil film next time, I will give my 100 percent effort to speak in Tamil and will try to dub for the film.
One Tamil word that you learnt from Dhanush during the shoot?
Vanakkam!
