I had no qualms about tonsuring my head: Poorna

Poorna, who got her head tonsured recently for her character in

Kodi Veeran

, says she is gratified to be a part of a film which will bring her recognition. The actress says that she didn’t have any qualms about shaving her head as she was convinced about the script and the director.

Poorna says, “I was happy when I got the offer to share screenspace with

Sasikumar

in a film, directed by Muthaiah. All I can tell you is that I’ll appear with shaved head in several scenes, but I can’t reveal anything about the role or the reason why I had to tonsure my head. But I’ll admit, it feels good to do something different other than running around trees and doing the regular stuff. Usually, actresses would think twice before doing this — in my case, I also have my dance shows and related activities. Yet, I gave my nod realising the potential of my character.”

Poorna adds that she has pinned high hopes on the movie, which was entirely shot in Madurai. She is also looking forward to
