With Covid-19 cases surging in India, most people have already done their panic shopping resulting in limited availability of items such as the face masks, sanitizers and hand wash. Actor
Bala Saravanan known for his role in film like 'Kutti Puli' and 'Darling' shared his recent bitter experience while trying to buy a hand sanitizer.
The actor expressed his disgust over people trying to use the current situation in the country due to the
coronavirus scare and selling sanitizers above the Maximum Retail Price of the product. He sais that is shameful to see people selling such important items at double or triple the original rates and he says that humans are more dangerous than Corona.
Recalling an incident that happened to him a few days ago, Bala Saravanan said, "About 3 days ago I had gone buy sanitizer since I had run out of it. The shopkeeper sold be a sanitizer worth 60 rupees for 135 rupees. When I asked the cashier about it, he was clueless and said that he just works there, so I just left. Today, when I went to a coffee shop near my house with some friends, the worker in the shop gave us sanitizers to rub our hands and she too was worried about the products being overpriced."
