Honours in store for Rajini?

Veteran producer S Ramanathan, who has made films in the south and in Bollywood (Mumbai to Goa, Geraftaar, Mahaan), has apparently written to the powers that are asking them to consider conferring the Padma Vibhushan on Superstar Rajinikanth.
Ramanathan refuses to give a direct quote on this but says, ���Rajini is truly a super human being and deserving of all the honours that people or the administration may confer on him.He is very shy and will never advocate his own cause but having known him closely for over two decades, I can vouch for his simplicity and honesty.������
Rajini was given the Padma Bhushan a decade ago. As December 12, Rajini���s birthday, draws close, his 63-thousand fan clubs are about to start an online campaign reportedly asking Madame Tussauds to have a waxwork of the star. And they are also looking to getting him posterity in other ways. Several Bollywood heavyweights including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have already found a place in the waxworks museum. Now the Rajini fan club seeks a place for the Tamil icon in there.
