Hollywood action director Nick Powell to join Suriya and Janhvi Kapoor starrer 'Karna': Report

Actor Suriya made his Bollywood debut with Ram Gopal Varma's ‘Rakta Charitra 2’ in 2010. The actor is now reportedly set to collaborate with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for a big-budget movie. The movie, tentatively titled ‘Karna,’ will be a mythological period drama based on a portion of the Mahabharata and focusing on the character Karna.

According to Pinkvilla, this is planned as a two-part epic franchise with a staggering budget of 500 to 600 crores. Suriya will star alongside Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor. Janhvi’s father, Boney Kapoor, in a previous interview hinted at an expected collaboration with actor Suriya. It was the time he confirmed her new project with Ram Charan and shared how Janhvi is enjoying her shooting for ‘Devara’ with Jr NTR.


Adding to the excitement, famous Hollywood stunt director Nick Powell, known for his work in 'Braveheart,' 'Gladiator,' and the blockbuster 'RRR,' will be joining the crew of 'Karna.' Reports suggest that Powell has already arrived in Mumbai to begin workshops for the film.

Currently, Suriya is busy with his 'Kanguva' and another project with Sudha Kongara. Janhvi Kapoor, on the other hand, is preparing for her South film industry debut with 'Devara' alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
