Here's why Jayam Ravi kept a distance from Ulaganayagan on the sets of Aalavandhan
Actor Jayam Ravi threw a surprise to the housemates of Bigg Boss Tamil 4 on Sunday. The actor not only unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film on the show, but also recalled the days when he worked as an assistant director in the show's host Kamal Haasan's film, Aalavandhan.
In a conversation with Kamal Haasan, Jayam Ravi, "I don't know if you know this sir, but I was an assistant director in your film, Aalavandhan.

I was very young, all of 21, and I was scared to come near you. You were twice your regular size due to your look in the film. We were shooting in Delhi. All the assistant directors would come in layers of clothes to beat the Delhi winter chill and there you were, who would walk into the sets in a simple T-shirt and ask if the shot was ready. Sometimes, during the stunt scenes, you would get injured and would be bleeding, but would soon get back to the shoot. We would all wonder what were you doing to keep yourself so fit and full of energy. I was awestruck by your dedication to the work. It was a goosebump-inducing experience. And I would stay away so that I don't disturb you in anyway. I learnt a lot during that shoot."
The actor also revealed that it was Kamal Haasan who switched on the camera for his very first shot in life. "I don't know how many of us had that luck, but you were part of my very first shot in my career. I have always considered you as a reference for all my films and characters. That's the kind of effect you had on me."
