Telugu director Gopichand Malineni has reportedly narrated a story to Vijay and closed the story with the actor in a single narration. The movie, which is likely Vijay's 68th, was previously said to have been made by a Telugu production company, however, as per the latest report, Vijay's film with Gopichand Malineni is said to be produced by Super Good Films, which has been associated with Vijay in multiple blockbuster hits.
Super Good Films has reportedly signed Vijay for their landmark 100th film, and the production has quoted a compact budget for the film. Gopichand Malineni's story for Vijay suits the production house norms, and they have decided to take the film forward. Reported to be 'Thalapathy 68', the official announcement regarding the film will arrive once Vijay's current film 'Leo' reaches the final stage.
Vijay is filming for Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial debut, "Leo', and filming is underway in Chennai. Almost half the film's shooting has been left to complete, and the film is expected to be completely wrapped by July. 'Leo' will have a pan-Indian release, and the film is slated to release on October 19, 2023, on the occasion of the Ayudha Pooja festival. The gangster drama will have Vijay in a never-before-seen role, and the film also has Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Menon, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, and Mansoor Ali Khan, among others, in crucial roles.
