The Coronavirus has brought the cinema industry to standstill as theatres and shooting are halted till March 31. Several production companies and filmmakers have come out announcing their change of plans with regard to reschedule of shooting and release dates. Harish Kalyan, whose Dharala Prabhu opened to good reviews last Friday, has also come up with a press release, in which he thanked audience for their support. He also went on to add that he is expecting the support post the re-release of the movie.
The release read, "The outbreak of the Pandemic COVID-19 has brought the world to a halt. The efforts taken by the government bodies are commendable in the current situation to ensure that each and everyone in our State/Country and the rest of the world remain safe. It's unfortunate that our film Dharala Prabhu which released last week to your amazing responses from all over had to stop screening from today owing to the government orders of shutting down the theatres till 31 March.
Your Love / Support for our film Dharala Prabhu and all the feedback / reviews that we had been receiving was really touching. We can't thank you enough for the same. Hoping to have your continued support once the movie re-releases post the crisis."
A remake of Vicky Donor, the film directed by Krishna Marimuthu has Vivekh, Tanya Hope, Sachu and Anupama, too, essaying crucial roles.
