Harish Kalyan is the latest star in Kollywood who has embarked on a project to give it back to the society. The actor has revealed that he and his father have started a trust to help the education of poor students and also offer medical help for the needy. "Very happy to officially share our baby project @SaiSankaraTrust a self funded trust started by my father #Kalyan with the aim of helping student’s education & also giving medical assistance," the actor shared.
He also gave out more details on the project by posting a press statement about the trust. In the press release, it is mentioned that the trust was started in 2015 with Harish's parents Kalyan and Kousalya Kalyan, and Harish himself, as trustees. "The main objective of our trust is to provide financial help to the students for their education and provide medical assistance for the needy," it said. According to the statement, 132 students have been offered monetary help by the trust so far. On the film front, the actor's slate of films include Oh Mana Penne, the remake of the hit Tollywood romcom Pelli Choopulu, directed by his friend Kaarthikk Sundar, and director Sasi's next project.
