Harish Kalyan plays a boxer in Ranjit’s next

Hadn’t we told you that Harish Kalyan is doing his next with Ranjit Jayakodi? Well, here’s more dope on that front — Harish’s character is a biker as well as a boxer in the film. This romantic film, that also stars Shilpa Manjunath in the lead, is in the final stage of production.

Says Ranjit, “My first film, Puriyatha Puthir, was a thriller. But this one is an out-and-out romantic project. However, I have not approached the film in a stereotypical manner. Doing away from his chocolate boy image, Harish plays a stubborn guy in this film. He is a boxer and biker. He even took some boxing lessons before we started the shoot. But the film is not about a boxer’s life. Shilpa plays a fashion designing student. It is about two people and their emotions.” Ma Ka Pa Anand and Bala Saravanan will be seen in important roles in the film.

The film has been extensively shot in Ladakh and Chennai. “I didn’t really have to look for inspiration for this story as this is something that one sees in their relationship,” he informs. The team will be announcing the title soon.
