In a heartwarming gesture,
Harish Kalyan visited the tomb of
martyr Subramanian
, a CRPF personnel who lost his life in the Pulwama terrorist attack. The actor was in
Thoothukudi
to pay his last respect to the slain hero, and also handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to his family.
A source confirms, “Subramanian was among the CRPF personnel who lost their life in the deadly suicide attack on a convoy at Pulwama in Srinagar. His bus was in the convoy of 78 buses en route to Srinagar when it came under attack. Since then, several politicians, industrialists, sportspersons and celebrities have voiced their shock at the ghastly attack, and also paid their respects to the heroes who lost their lives in the terror attack. Some of them have also volunteered to take care of educational and medical needs of their family. Harish Kalyan visited Subramanian’s tomb in Toothukudi, dedicated a floral orbit to him, and also met with his family and friends.”
It’s being reported that Subramanian joined the paramilitary force after completing his ITI and was attached to the 82nd battalion of the CRPF. He is survived by his parents and his wife Krishnaveni, whom he married last year.
