The gifted musician enjoys a strong fan following thanks to his youthful music, melodious tunes and impressive body of work. 'Minnalae'
Harris Jayaraj marked his debut with Gautam Vasudev Menon’s ‘Minnale’ and the album went on to become a huge hit, especially the song ‘Vaseegara’. The soulful number song was sung by

and Tippu and it perfectly reflected the lyrics written by Vaali.
'Kaakha Kaakha'
Harris Jayaraj joined forces for a second time with director
Gautham Menon for 'Kaakha Kaakha'. His music for the cop-thriller turned out to be a blockbuster and rocked music charts in 2003. The musician also won a Filmfare award for his work.
'Anniyan'
This Chiyaan Vikram starrer earned a good name for Harris Jayaraj for the three different kinds of music he composed for the film. Especially, the special background score earned Harris a lot of praise. ‘Anniyan’ also marked the musician’s first collaboration with ace director Shankar.
'Vettaiyadu Vilayadu'

Kamal Haasan starrer 'Vettaiyadu Vilayadu' featured music by Harris Jayaraj. It was a remarkable venture and was one of the first Indian films to be made using Super 35 technology.
'Nanban'
'Nanban' marked Harris Jayaraj's first composition for actor Vijay and the songs of the film were highly praised by the audience. The Tamil remake of Bollywood movie '3 Idiots' had similar music compared to the original version. Also, Harris Jayaraj made Vijay return to singing in films with their next venture 'Thuppaki'.
