Hansika to play the lead in a fantasy film

Even as she is awaiting the release of her 50th film Maha, Hansika has now signed a new female-centric project that will be directed by Koogle Kuttappa makers Sabari and Saravanan.
“This will be a fantasy film that will appeal to children and family audiences,” says Saravanan, who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for this film.
Director Vijay Chandar, who has made films like Vaalu and Sketch, is producing this film.“I had actually approached Vijay to give this story to him, but he liked it so much and came forward to produce it himself,” the director states.
Mottai Rajendran, Redin Kingsley and Sriman will be part of the supporting cast. Shakti, who has shot films like Renigunta, is the cameraman while Sam CS has been roped in as the music director. National Award-winner Lalgudi Ilayaraja is the art director of this film.
“We will be starting shoot from February 21 and will be shooting this film entirely in Chennai,” informs Saravanan.
