Director Halitha Shameem has resumed shooting for her ambitious Minimini after seven years. The director, who began shooting for the coming-of-age drama in 2015, has cast actors Esther Anil (of Papanasam fame), Pravin Kishore, and Gaurav Kaalai in the lead roles. The film chronicles the journey of a group of friends from childhood to their adolescent years, and Halitha waited for seven years so that her principal cast grows up into teens to resume shooting the film.
While the first schedule of the film was shot in Ooty, in 2015, the current schedule is now being shot in Ladakh.
