Halitha Shameem made her debut as a director in the Tamil film industry in 2014 and shot to fame in 2019 after directing the film ‘Sillu Karupatti’. She then directed the segment called ‘Loners’ for the anthology film ‘Putham Puthu Kaalai Vidiyaathaa…’ and is now one of the most popular directors of Tamil cinema. Her latest feature film ‘Aelay’ received positive acclaim as well.
Now, the director has made a new announcement about her next film. Taking to Twitter, Halitha revealed that the shooting for her film ‘Minmini’ will restart in June after a gap of six years. The director reportedly completed the preliminary shooting of the film ‘Minmini’ in 2015 and the shooting will now be resumed for the movie after six years.
Taking it to Twitter, Halitha Shameem shared a post that reads, “6 years ago wrapped the first schedule. The next schedule is from next month. #Minmini.” She also shared an image dated 6 years back on May 10 that had the cast of her film – two boys in the photo along with her. According to reports, the shooting for the film was paused as the director wanted the two boys in the cast of her film to grow up.
