After making a critically acclaimed debut film with 'Poovarasam Peepee' in 2014, director
Halitha Shameem began shooting for her second film '
Minmini
' that stars children.
Esther Anil, who made a mark in 'Drishyam' and again in its Tamil remake 'Papanasam' is part of the cast.
The film features child actors Gaurav Kalai, Pravin Kishore and Esther Anil in the lead. Interestingly, after shooting for a while Halitha Shameem seems to have stalled the shooting for the kids to grow up to shoot the remaining portions of the film. During this gap, she has made another film Sillukaruppatti, an anthology flick starring a huge cast, which has also received critical acclaim.
Halitha took to her social networking page to reveal what the movie is about, and said, "How real is Survivor’s guilt? How far would you go to live the dreams of your loved ones? That thin line between love and hate? Why are teens more emotional than adults?!#Minmini is a tranquil cloud that descended upon me and I’ve been working all these years to do justice to it."
This is the second time Halitha is working with Gaurav and Pravin, who had previously worked in her children’s film Poovarsam Peepee. The acclaimed director has planned to release the film 'Minmini' next year. Meanwhile, she has also revealed that her other film titled 'Aelay' is nearing completion and will release before 'Minmini'.
