GV Prakash's 'Rebel' teaser

GV Prakash's upcoming Tamil film ‘Rebel’ which is directed by debutant Nikesh, is said to be about a rebel student in Munnar in the 1980s. The film will be an action drama, with a little bit of politics. With film gearing up for release soon, the makers have released the teaser of the film, which has Mollywood actress Mamitha Baiju making her debut as a female lead.
'Soorarai Pootru' actor Suriya, released the teaser of the film through his social networking page.The film will also have a non-linear screenplay and will feature stories of the people in Munnar. The over 90-second teaser reveals that the film is about the story of a man who fought for Tamil and lost his life.

Director Nikesh has earlier said that he had written the story keeping GV Prakash in mind for the lead role. The film cast includes Venkitesh VP, Shalu Rahim, Karunas, Adhithya Baskar, Kalloori Vinoth and Subramaniya Siva among others. Interestingly, GV Prakash will also be scoring the music and the technical team includes cinematography by Arunkrishna Radhakrishnan and editing by Leo John Paul.
