GV Prakash's upcoming Tamil film ‘Rebel’ which is directed by debutant Nikesh, is said to be about a rebel student in Munnar in the 1980s. The shooting of the film, which is said to be based on real-life events has been wrapped up.
Director Nikesh has earlier said that he had written the story keeping GV Prakash in mind for the lead role. Sharing a pictgure of the whole team from the last day of shooting, GV Prakash wrote, "It’s a wrap for #rebel . Will be a game changer in tamil cinema . One promising director is on his way … thanks @kegvraja sir @NikeshRs @Arunkrishna_21 @NehaGnanavel @Dhananjayang @StudioGreen2"
While GV Prakash will also be scoring the music, the technical team includes cinematography by Arunkrishna Radhakrishnan and editing by Leo John Paul. The film will also have a non-linear screenplay and will feature stories of the people in Munnar.
