GV Prakash Kumar has unveiled a key aspect of the 'Suriya 43' script. This marks Suriya's second collaboration with director Sudha Kongara, with GV Prakash Kumar set to compose the music. The trio, known for their work on 'Soorarai Pottru,' is tentatively titling their upcoming project as 'Suriya 43.' In an interview with Cinema Vikatan, GV Prakash Kumar shared some insights about the film, expressing his joy at reuniting with Suriya and Sudha Kongara. He also conveyed his pride in the film's songs and described Sudha Kongara's script for 'Suriya 43' as robust and unique.
'Suriya 43,' also known as '1965 Purananooru,' will delve into the 1967 anti-Hindi imposition movements in Tamil Nadu and the associated struggles of the people. Suriya is set to portray a college-boy look for his revolutionary character. The film features Nazriya Nazim, Dulquer Salman, and Vijay Varma in pivotal roles, with additional popular faces expected in supporting roles. The shooting for 'Suriya 43' is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2024, and pre-production activities are already underway.
Currently immersed in the period action drama 'Kanguva' directed by Siruthai Siva, Suriya's entire shoot for his next film is anticipated to conclude by January. Sporting a thick beard for 'Kanguva,' he is poised for a complete transformation for the Sudha Kongara project.
