GV Prakash Kumar and Divya Bharathi finally break silence on dating rumours after his divorce from Saindhavi

Music composer and actor GV Prakash Kumar has finally addressed long-standing rumours linking his divorce from singer Saindhavi to actress Divya Bharathi. The couple, who ended their decade-long marriage in 2024, remained private about the reasons behind their split. However, widespread speculation suggested that GV Prakash’s growing closeness to his Bachelor co-star Divya Bharathi was a contributing factor.

In an interview with YouTube channel Galatta, GV Prakash denied any romantic involvement with Divya Bharathi. He clarified that their relationship has always been strictly professional and dismissed the dating rumours that surfaced following their collaboration in the 2021 film 'Bachelor'.


He added that they met only during the shooting period and referred to her as his colleague. They do not meet outside the workplace for any reason, but people never stop creating trolls.

He shared his frustration over the baseless assumptions, saying, “The troopers will tell you that it’s your fault. We have nothing to do with each other.”

Divya, who also spoke during the interview, revealed that she faced relentless trolling after GV Prakash’s divorce. She mentioned that people wrongly blamed her due to their on-screen pairing. Despite feeling happy when GV Prakash and Saindhavi performed a concert together, she continued to receive hateful messages accusing her of ruining their marriage. She shared some of the harsh comments with GV Prakash, who advised her to ignore them and focus on her work.

Despite the negativity, Divya admitted that the accusations initially affected her. However, she later realised that she was helpless in controlling others’ actions.

On the work front, GV Prakash is now gearing up for the release of Kingston with Divya Bharathi. The film is set to hit theatres on March 7. Additionally, GV Prakash has 'Idimuzhakkam' and '13' in the pipeline.

Divya Bharathi will also appear in the Tamil film 'Madhil Mel Kaadhal' and the Telugu film 'G.O.A.T.'
