ran in trouble recently. The film featuring a chimapanzee named Kong was mired in trouble when

PETA

issued a statement requesting the audience to boycott the film. The posted, "Abuse is never entertainment — and the exploitation of a chimpanzee named Kong in the film Gorilla is straight-up animal abuse. Join us in calling for a ban on the use of animals in film, TV, and advertising." They also listed five reasons on why the film should be banned - which included being violently abused, using live animals is unnecessary, leaves a legacy of harm and so on.

However, the team of Gorilla said that they had sought permission for the film in Bangkok and also went through the process of acquiring clearance certificate from the Animal Welfare Board.

Now, the team has released an official poster saying that the film will released on July 5.
