'Ghilli' to 'Billa': Tamil movies that are set to re-release in March and April 2024

While the new releases in Kollywood are grabbing the space of earning the most in box office collections, they are not able to fight against the old Tamil films that are re-releasing. The re-releases in recent times have gotten a lot of love from the audience, and to name a few, 'Siva Manasula Sakthi' and '3' garnered a lot of attention from the audience. Apart from the yearly re-releases for Valentine's Day, this year, many Tamil films are set for a re-release as theatres are trying to bring back the audience to watch the movies on big screens and refrain from relying on the digital and OTT platforms. From Vijay's 'Ghilli' to Ajith's 'Billa', here is a list of Tamil films that are releasing in the forthcoming days!

Ajith's romantic side took a leap after the film was released. Starring Ajith and Maanu in lead roles, the movie was a blockbuster in 1998. Directed by Saran, the film is a romantic drama, and it had a successful run in theatres. The movie is re-releasing in select theatres in Tamil Nadu on March 1.

Minsara Kanavu, starring Kajol, Prabhu Deva, and Aravind Swamy, is all set for its re-release in theatres on March 1. Directed by Rajiv Menon, the romantic drama is one of the classics, and the film's music was composed by AR Rahman.

Billa, starring Ajith and Nayanthara, is the remake of Rajinikanth's film 'Billa'. Directed by Vishnuvardhan, the film was released in 2007, and it is now gearing up for its re-release in theatres on February 23. It was one of the blockbusters of Ajith, and the movie was even screened at the 61st Cannes International Film Festival.

Karthi's acting debut ran across theatres in Tamil Nadu for 300 days when it was released in 2007. It is now all set to re-release in theatres in 2024 after 17 long years of its release.
