Mollywood’s recent film 'Manjummel Boys' had a glorious win at the box office, crossing Rs 100 crore in just 13 days of its release. Directed by

Now, the renowned filmmaker,
Gautham Vasudev Menon, has shared a note on the microblogging site X to emphasise how the film took him back to the release of
Kamal Haasan’s 'Gunaa' movie.
Check out his tweet here:
The director-turned-actor wrote, '#ManjummelBoys - Such a theatrical high experience film, a connect to the magic that cinema is. So nicely done, boys. When ‘manidhar unarndhu kolla’ comes up on the soundtrack, somehow watching Guna on opening day so many years ago and many times after that made sense to me.'
The movie, which is taking a reference from Kamal Haasan’s 1991 film 'Gunaa,' has also won the hearts of
Tamil Nadu audience by using the evergreen track 'Kanmani Anbodu Kadhalan' in its climax. Gautham recollected the good old days of watching the film and enjoying the famous line, ‘manidhar unarndhu kolla,’ in theaters.
