Gautham Menon opens up on 'Dhruva Natchathiram' delay, says "No one supported me"

'Dhruva Natchathiram' is one of the long-delayed projects in Tamil cinema, and the film helmed by Gautham Menon features Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role. After being postponed from the November 2023 release, the makers haven't locked the new release date of 'Dhruva Natchathiram' and this made fans wait further. Now, Gautham Menon has opened up on the 'Dhruva Natchathiram' delay and the hurdles faced by the spy thriller in his YouTube chat with Madan Gowri. "While striving to release 'Dhruva Natchathiram', I faced an uphill battle with no one stepping in to address the challenges or offer assistance. Despite the hurdles, there was a noticeable lack of support, leaving me to navigate the complexities on my own. The entire process felt isolating, as though the film’s struggles didn’t matter to anyone else. Even now, when a film finds success, it is met with surprise rather than genuine happiness. The prevailing sentiment often seems to be a lack of encouragement for success stories. It’s disheartening to see how the joy of accomplishment is overshadowed by skepticism or indifference, rather than being celebrated as a collective triumph".

He further added that "In the case of 'Dhruva Natchathiram', the film owes its survival entirely to the overwhelming anticipation and support from the audience. The hype and unwavering enthusiasm of the viewers have kept the project alive, proving once again that a film’s true strength lies in its connection with its audience, even when external support is absent."

'Dhruva Natchathiram' features Ritu Varma, Simran, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Vinayakan, Salim Baig, and Vamshi Krishna in crucial roles alongside Vikram in the lead role. Harris Jayaraj takes care of the music with cinematography handled by Jomon T John and Manoj Paramahamsa.
