Gautham Karthik is kicked about his upcoming period film, August 16, 1947. The film, which is bankrolled by AR Murugadoss, is helmed by his long-time associate NS Ponkumar. The film is currently in the post-production stage and a glimpse of the same was released recently. And now, Gautham shared images on his social media platform, dubbing for the film.
Taking to his 'gram, he wrote, "This one is close to my heart, I'm super excited and can't wait for you all to see the finished product! With your blessings (sic)." The actor in an earlier interview had said that the film is close to his heart as different kinds of prep work went in for the project.
In our interview, he said, "It is not based on historic events, more like a fantasy story that takes place during the freedom struggle. I was very intrigued by the story when he spoke about it in-depth. Pon's narration and the script made me imagine the story. Of course, it took a while to get the film on floors because of the pandemic. But once we began shooting, it felt nice to be part of his imagination."
