Gautham, Badri team up for an action film

Gautham Karthik will be joining director Badri Venkatesh for his next film, which will be an out-and-out

action

movie. Badri says, “The producers of

Plan Panni Pannanum

(PPP) were really happy about that film and offered to produce my next. I have always wanted to work with Gautham. I worked on a

script

and met him for a narration. He liked the script and we okayed it the next day. Unlike other films, things happened quickly for this one.”

The film will be set in Triplicane, Chennai. “Gautham plays a local Triplicane

. Triplicane has varied cultures and not many have tapped into it. Gautham is called “viralu” by his locality people. Avaru ellaru kannayum viralu vittu aatuvaaru. But there’s someone out there who picks on him! We will begin

shooting

by mid-December in Chennai, and some portions will be shot in Kutch, UP and Kerala. Gautham will be sporting a toned look, and he’s already started hitting the gym. He might have done an action film before, but this one is a full-length action film,” says Badri.
