It was a flying visit to Chennai, but Tanishaa fondly recalls the days shed spent in the city while she was working on Unnale Unnale. Id often come to the city, and the last time I was here was almost a year ago. This place is quite special for me, she says. Quiz the actress why she hasnt signed on any films in Tamil after that, and she says, No one knew where to find me! I didnt have any manager here, and I think directors found it difficult to track me down.
I knew Jeeva because of his association in Bollywood, and I took on this film because I liked my role. In the coming years, I got busy with films in Hindi and Telugu, and never had a chance to sign a Tamil film. But, Im open to offers here, and would love to be part of K-Town.
Coming from a filmi
background (her mother is yesteryear Bollywood actress Tanuja
, and Kajol and Ajay Devgn
are her sister and brother-inlaw
), ask Tanishaa
if her family influences her, and pat comes the answer, My family knows the industry well. But, I was never told what to do and what not to do. I seek their advice when I want, and they are happy to counsel me. Tanishaa is currently working on a Marathi film, and has also ventured into production.
