These days, people are increasingly interested in spending time in rural areas and connecting with the nature whenever time allows. We’ve quite a few celebs from the industry, who love different aspects of village life. Here are a few of them...

During the lockdown, actor Soori reconnected with everything that he loved doing back in his hometown. One thing that he enjoyed the most was spending time with his Jallikattu bull, Karuppan, who also turned a social media star through Soori’s posts. Photos of the actor taking Karuppan for a walk and bath grabbed the attention of netizens.

A note about his visit to Chinnamanoor, his wife Nisha’s village, was one of Ganesh Venkatram’s post on his social media page during the lockdown. Sharing a pic of himself, riding pillion with his wife on a moped, he shared how he enjoyed the village life and found happiness in simple pleasures, like riding past lush green fields. The actor was quite active on social media during the lockdown period and he would often share post about finding happiness in simplest of things in life. This was one such post.

Madhavan has always shown interest in sustainable projects, especially farming. The actor recently made news when pics surfaced online of his coconut farm in a village near Palani in Tamil Nadu. The actor, along with his cousin bought this piece of land, which was barren then, and in a span of three-and-half years, turned it into a farm of non-hybrid coconut trees.

The couple were stuck in a village during the lockdown last year. But they seemed to have had the best of their time together at the village. The actress-turned-VJ would often share pics of them involved in different activities in the village. In fact, Manimegalai made sure that hubby Hussain had a memorable birthday celebration, which was a pakka village-style one.

The cooking videos that she shared on her page during the lockdown let her fans see the chef in her. She shared quite a few yummy recipes with her followers on social media. In one video that she shared, she showed how she enjoyed a village-style chicken curry, prepared by two women in one ooru close to where she lives in Chennai

Her happiness was evident when Genelia shared a note along with a video of kids sitting under a huge tree in their farm and studying. The actress, in the note, had written how they spent time away from the city in their village and farm during the lockdown, and how satisfied she was to see her kids being more aware about their surroundings and more compassionate towards animals.

Prakash Raj found his farmhouse the ideal place to spend time with family during the lockdown. On his social media page, the actor would often share photos of plucking the produce at the farm, cycling around the farm with his children and connecting with nature and people in and around the farm. It was a perfect village staycation for the Prakash Raj family.

Vidyut Jammwal, who is also a kalaripayattu expert, would often share fitness videos on his social media page. Though the location remained undisclosed, the videos looked as if they were shot from a rural area. The actor seemed to have had a great time in this country sdie. Videos of him pulling a bullock cart and feeding cows grabbed a lot of eyeballs. He seemed to have stayed in the village for an extended time during the complete lockdown across the country last year.
