Film actor seeks action in rumours about arrest

Film actor Saravanan, who has appeared in movies like ���Paruthi Veeran��� lodged a complaint with the city police commissioner S George seeking action against those have been spreading rumours about his involvement and arrest in red sanders smuggling case. The actor submitted a petition at the commisionerate and said he was shocked to hear the news of his arrest.He was shooting for a film with his co-stars near Tambaram when he got the news.
A message that the actor had been picked up by the AndhraPradesh police in red sanders smuggling case went viral on Whatsapp. ���I was shooting for a kidnap scene for my film, when my well-wishers informed me about the rumours of my arrest,��� he said. ���Such news are aimed at spoiling my reputation and causing mental agony. I have sought action against those spreading such baseless rumours,��� he said.
He also sought action against the news channels who picked up the ���false��� information and also those who shared it on social networking sites.
