Benjamin Gilani, on what he loves about Chennai...Cultural connect:I am very fond of exploring cities in terms of their culture. And Chennai is like a veritable feast for me with its rich heritage and architecture. Although I havent been able to explore Madras to my hearts content, I took time out during my previous visit to check out the Government Museum at Egmore as it was close to my hotel.
Culinary loveBeing from Mumbai, I am used to gorging on seafood.
And I was glad to have some during my stay in the city as well. I had a special Chettinadu style preparation of fish, which was spicy and tangy. I instantly fell in love with the dish and I intend to make it at my home as well.
Passion for lifeI have always been crazy about theatre. And thanks to my buddies, Naseeruddin Shah and Tom Alter, I was able to set up a little theatre company in Mumbai that could help us keep our passions alive and inspire more youngsters to take to it.
Working for loveI dont really care about things like screen time. If the roles great, I just jump in and soak in the character.
