The well acclaimed movie of 2020 – ‘
Soorarai Pottru
’ which was released in OTT was recently released in theatres in Tamil Nadu. Directed by
Sudha Kongara, the movie featured
Suriya, Paresh Rawal,
Aparna Balamurali,
Urvashi, Karunas among others. It was produced by 2D Entertainment along with Sikhya Entertainment.
The movie was a successful hit but many were disappointed that it was not released on the big screens. Now that it has finally been released, a video has surfaced on social media showing the fans celebrating and enjoying as the movie finally hits theatres.

The video that has surfaced is reportedly taken from the Midland theatre in Madurai. The video shows fans crowding outside the theatre to watch the movie.
The movie is inspired from real-life events of GR Gopinath who wanted to start an economically priced airplane service, The movie is all set to be remade in
Hindi
and it will be directed by Sudha Kongara. The Hindi movie will also be produced by 2D Entertainment along with Abundantia Entertainment.
Recently, a popular Bollywood news media reported that the actor Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’. According to reports, the actor has given his nod and will soon be signing the movie with the director. An official confirmation from the actor and director is yet to be out.
