The latest teaser of
Bejoy Nambiar’s bilingual film
Solo
opens with
Dulquer Salmaan cruising through the hills in his faithful bullet. The sequence instantly brought back memories of the actor and his tryst with bikes in his other films — especially the Malayalam hits Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi and Bangalore Days. So, we asked Bejoy if the
bullet
played an integral role in the life of Dulquer’s character in this film, too, and he surprised us with his answer.
“When we wrote the script, the
bike
was not even in the reckoning. Dulquer was supposed to be driving an army jeep. But when we visualised it, it kind of didn’t fall in place. And when guys go on a road trip, they usually prefer bikes. So, we changed the vehicle from a jeep to a bullet. It was only later that we realised Dulquer has been riding bikes in his movies and they had been received well, too,” he says with a laugh
