once again, this time, as Kadhal Mannan
Gemini Ganesan in Nadigayar Thilagam, the biopic of actress
Savithri
. Directed by Tollywood filmmaker Nag Ashwin, the film has
Keerthy Suresh playing the role of the legendary actress while
Samantha will be seen in a crucial character through whom the story will unfold.
Gemini Ganesan and Savithri fell in love while working together on the film Manampol Mangalyam. The actor went ahead and married her even though he was already married. They kept their marriage a secret for some time and it was only when the actress signed her name as Savithri Ganesh for an advertisement, that the world got to know of it. They had two children. However, the relationship between them became strained in the later years.
Talking about the latest development, Swapna Dutt, the producer of the film, says, “Dulquer will be seen in a full-length role and is the male lead of the film. Since this film is going to be made in Tamil and Telugu, this will also mark his debut in Tollywood.”
Prakash Raj is likely to be seen in a major role in this film, which will go on floors by mid-May.
