Actress Divya Spandana who had bid adieu to films to concentrate on her political career, seems to be taking on BJP leader and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in Chennai today to launch the First National Handloom Day. The Vaaranam Aayiram actress took to twitter to sarcastically accuse Modi for launching a National Handloom Day after bringing down import duty on silk which has lead to weavers shutting down. Divya Spandana also known as
Ramya, tweeted, "You brought down the import duty on silk, cocoon prices have crashed, weavers are shutting shop & you launch National handloom day! brilliant. #nationalhandloomday is like celebrating the birthday of a person who is dead."
"We need anti dumping laws. Stop china from dumping silk in India. Brazil is the only country that took on America for dumping cotton in theirs," she further tweeted.
