After making an impressive debut with Thamizh Padam, Disha Pandey did just one more film in Tamil - Mayanginen Thayanginen - before branching out to do Kannada films. Now, the actress is back in

- she will be seen opposite Lollu Sabha Jeeva in a horror-comedy, titled

Kombu

. Though the movie was announced a couple of years ago – it was Jeeva’s debut film as a hero – it’s now ready for release.

Ibrahim, who is debuting as a director with the film, says, "I have worked with Chandrakumar and Balu Anand before venturing out on my own. I wrote this story based on a real-life incident."

He adds, "Disha plays a research student who goes to a village after she finds out that they use cow's horns to tackle ghosts and spirits. Jeeva belongs to the village. What happens when they meet? I've narrated the story in a fun and thrilling manner."

The movie, the audio launch of which was held recently, also stars Pandiarajan in an important role. Radhika has handled the choreography, while Ghajini Kubendran has taken care of stunts. "Dev Guru has composed the music. Sudeep has handled the cinematography," he says.
