STR made an amazing comeback with a super successful outing with
Mani Ratnam's 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam'. However, his last 'Vandha Rajavathaan Varuven', directed by Sundar C failed to impress the audience. He is currently shooting for
Hansika Motwani's 50th movie' Maha', directed by debutant UR Jameel and produced by V Mathiyalagan's Etcetera Entertainment.
Now, the latest update is that director
Venkat Prabhu had confirmed that music for the film will be composed by
Yuvan Shankar Raja.
It's almost been a year since director Venkat Prabhu announced his film 'Maanadu' with Simbu in the lead making this the duo’s first collaboration although Simbu has appeared for a cameo in 'Goa'. Touted to be an action political entertainer the shooting for the film is expected to begin in Malaysia this month. This film will have Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead who is currently working on
Sivakarthikeyan’s 'Hero' by P.S.Mithran.
Suresh Kamatchi is bankrolling the project under the banner V House Productions and Praveen KL will be handling the cuts. The film comprises a huge star cast of
Sathyaraj, Nasser,
Jayaram, Jai, Shiva, Kayal Chandran,
Nivetha Pethuraj,
Regina Cassandra and Sanchitha Shetty.
Apart from ‘Maanadu’, Venkat Prabhu also has his directorial film ‘Party’, and his production venture ‘RK Nagar’ waiting for a release.
