Director Nelson Dilipkumar reveals that ‘Pokkiri’ was an inspiration for ‘Beast’

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, ‘Beast’ starring Vijay and Pooja Hegde was released in theatres on April 13. The movie is getting mixed reviews from the audience and it has quite a hype from the fans. Fans are overwhelmed as the interval block of the movie connects with Vijay’s film ‘Pokkiri’.
Speaking at an interview, Nelson Dilipkumar reportedly revealed that there is a small ‘Pokkiri’ moment in the film.He added that the scene won’t be long but it is special. Nelson stated that he is a huge fan of ‘Pokkiri’ and the film also reportedly served as an inspiration while he was scripting ‘Beast’.
Talking about the film ‘Beast’ in the interview, Nelson reportedly stated that Vijay’s character in the film is just an extension of Vijay’s real persona and said the movie is made of 60% percent action sequence and 40% with humour, similar to his previous release ‘Doctor’. The director also praised Selvaraghavan who made his acting debut with this film.
