Director Elan explains how a 8 minute orchestrated BGM was planned for Kavin's 'Star'

'Pyaar Prema Kaadhal' fame director Elan is currently helming the film 'Star' that has Kavin, Aaditi Pohankar and Preity Mukhundhan playing the lead roles. The movie's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

'Star's music and background has a huge expectation as the previous collaboration of the director and music composer for the Harish Kalyan starrer was a massive hit. Director Elan, in a recent interview with a Tamil YouTube channel revealed that he along with music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja planned for a 8 minute long climax BGM for 'Star' and said that they were inspired from the Hollywood film '1917' that showcased the British War.


Elan explained that he was at his liberty to brainstorm and share references and the story board with music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. He explained that after taking the necessary inputs required, the composer gave the tune 'Harmony of Hearts' which was perfect and following which he wanted to make it more painful and darker and instead of being the promo song, it became the climax BGM.


Elan said that the 8 minute orchestrated tone was something that both him and Yuvan Shankar Raja wanted after they watched the first rough draft edited movie required.
