The film has Arun Vijay,

Shamitha

and Raj Kiran in the lead roles, along with Chandrasekhar, Ranjith, Manorama, Vinu Chakravarthy and Mukesh Tiwari in important roles. Cheran posted a few pictures from the film, and said, "19 years, it seems like we started working only yesterday. I thank Chandrasekar, M Varadharajan, K Maniprasad, Sujatha Rangarajan sir, Narayanan and Raja Vaidyanathan for giving me an opportunity to work on the film."

He also thanked his assistants - Chimbu Devan, Ramraj, Vijay Shankar, Pandiraj and Ramakrishnan. Sharing few more pictures, he added, "These pictures are from the set in Mysore. I also thank all the actors and crew members for being part of the film."

The film is a drama, which follows the life of Dhanasekar (Rajkiran), who returns to his village after a gap of 12 years. The film was received very well among critics and audiences alike, and Cheran even won the Filmfare Award For Best Director. Bharathwaj composed music for the film, while Thangar Bachan handled the cinematography.
