Sai Pallavi is one of the prominent actresses of South India. She was last seen in the film 'Gargi'. In the trailer launch of 'Chandramukhi 2' that was held on September 3, it was reportedly revealed that actress Sai Pallavi turned down the offer she received for 'Chandramukhi 2'. According to reports, the actress did not reveal the reason as to why she turned to play the role in 'Chandramukhi 2'. However, it is unclear if the 'Premam' actress was offered the female lead role in the movie.
'Chandramukhi 2' is a sequel to the 2005 blockbuster film 'Chandramukhi' that starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in lead roles. The film is a horror comedy and the sequel of the film is about the original Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja and the story that happened in the kingdom. The movie features Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Vadivelu, Subhiksha, Radhika Sarathkumar, Srusthi Dange. The film's music is composed by MM Keeravani and the film is set to release in theatres on September 15.
A couple of days back, it was reported that the actress also turned away the opportunity to play Chiranjeevi's sister in 'Bhola Shankar' which was later played by Keerthy Suresh. It was then revealed that Sai Pallavi usually does not choose films that remakes as she she is scared of it and that's why she turned down 'Bhola Shankar'. The actress also cleared the air stating that she will be honoured to work with Chiranjeevi in the future.
On the work front, Sai Pallavi is now shooting for her film 'SK 21' alongside Sivakarthikeyan. Produced by Kamal Haasan, the film is a real life story of a army major and the movie is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy.
