Kamal Haasan has used the ancient martial art form Varma Kalai in the sequel, and he also used the ancient fighting technique in the prequel, which was released in 1996 as well. But did you know, Rajinikanth used Varma Kalai in films before Kamal Haasan. Rajinikanth has used Varma Kalai during a fight sequence in the film 'Raja Chinna Roja', which was released seven years before 'Indian'. Fans have been circulating the video of Rajinikanth's fight scene from 'Raja Chinna Raja', and they claim the Superstar actor as the inventor of Varma Kalai in films. The viral video also stirred up the social media fight between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan fans.


Kamal Haasan received help from Aasan Rajendran for Varma Kalai in 'Indian', but the actor took help from Prakasan Gurukkal for the sequel.
