Dhruv Vikram was initially supposed to make his debut with director
Bala's 'Varma', the remake of superhit Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy'. But the producer of the film E4 Entertainment was disappointed with Bala's version of the remake and remade the film again with a new title 'Adithya Varma'. With lockdown due to the COVID-19 situation and many film releasing on OTT platform, there was a buzz in March that the makers are planning to release Bala's
Varma
on OTT platforms.
Bala's version of the remake had Dhruv Vikram along with newcomer Megha Chowdhury in the lead role. The film also starred Eswari Rao, Raiza Wilson and Akash Premkumar in important roles along with others. Recently, there have been reports again that that producer Mukesh Ratilal Mehta will be releasing Bala’s version of Varma on an OTT platform.
However, the 'Varma' producer took to his social networking page refuted the news calling it a mere rumour. But the fans of the acclaimed director have also expressed interest to watch Bala's version of Arjun Reddy as Adithya Varma was nothing but a faithful remake.
