Dhanush's Vaathi teaser looks promising

On the occasion of actor Dhanush's birthday today, the makers of his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film 'Vaathi', have released the teaser of the film directed by Telugu director, Venky Atluri. The over a minute trailer gives a glimpse of how Dhanush fights against education system, which is being handles like a business. While Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead, Samuthirakani plays the villain.
Bankrolled by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya of Sithara Entertainments, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual has been titled 'Vaathi' in Tamil and 'Sir' in Telugu. The film is said to be an ambitious journey of a common man, which has Dhanush playing a role of college teacher. The film is said to be a social drama that revolves around the education mafia and highlights one young man’s fight against the privatisation of education.

‘Vaathi’ will also be marking Dhanush’s debut in Telugu film industry. The movie is touted to be an action drama and it portrays the ambitious journey of a common man. While GV Prakash has been roped in to compose music for the film, the technical team includes Dinesh Krishnan handling the cinematography and Navin Nooli in-charge of editing.
