Director
Vetri Maaran and actor
Dhanush are one of the favourite director-actor combos in Tamil, and the duo has worked together for four films. Now, the latest report suggests that Dhanush's next with Vetri Maaran will be set against a
KGF backdrop. Vetri Maaran has recently confirmed that he will be reuniting with Dhanush for the fifth time, soon after finishing his prior commitments.
Vetri Maaran is reportedly researching the KGF area as he is in plans to use the KGF backdrop for his next film with Dhanush.
'Thangalaan' producer KE Gnanavel Raja confirmed Vetri Maaran's research on the KGF, as their film starring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role also deals with the KGF. But 'Thangalaan', which is directed by Pa Ranjith, focuses on the discoveries of the KGF fields.
It is worth mentioning that Vetri Maaran declared in his earlier statement that he is aiming to resume 'Vada Chennai 2' with Dhanush after completing his current film. But the latest words from KG Ganavel Raja have confused the fans, and they wait to hear them officially from Vetri Maaran soon.
Vetri Maaran will be next delivering 'Viduthalai 2," and the film has Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, and Bhavani Sre in the main roles. The sequel is expected to arrive in theatres later this year, and the director has a few scenes left to be shot for the film. Vetri Maaran is also aiming to commence the shooting of 'Vaadivaasal," starring Suriya in the lead role.
