The shooting of
Dhanush's '
Maari 2' directed by
Balaji Mohan has been wrapped. Produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, it stars Tovino Thomas, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Krishna and
Robo Shankar in important roles with Sai Pallavi playing the female lead. ‘
Maari 2
’ has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is likely to release by the end of this year.
The film is a sequel to the gangster film that came out in 2014.
Taking to his social networking page, Dhanush said, "And that’s a wrap for #maari2 .. loved being maari once again. Can’t wait to be maari again. A character I enjoy and cherish playing. #tharalocal #senjuruven thank you @directormbalaji @omdop @Sai_Pallavi92 @Actor_Krishna @ttovino @thisisysr Robo and Vinod." (sic)
Director Balaji also expressed his happiness of working with Dhanush again, posting, "It’s a wrap for #Maari2! Had so much fun bringing this character to life on screen again with the ever awesome @dhanushkraja Sir! #Maari rocks! ✊���� Will miss him! Till next time ��" (sic)
Meanwhile, Dhanush awaits the release of the much-awaited gangster trilogy ‘Vada Chennai’, which is being directed by Vetri Maaran.
